ASIO is seeking to fill the role of Assistant Director Financial Accounting to support the management of all aspects of financial accounting operations. This role offers a broad scope of responsibilities and the autonomy to employ contemporary work practices in a progressive organisation.
As an Assistant Director Financial Accounting in ASIO, your duties will include:
• Undertaking month end processes to deliver internal and external reporting;
• Assisting with end of year financial statements including preparation of various financial statement notes and supporting work papers for audit;
• Providing financial advice to the organisation;
• Undertaking taxation processing and reporting requirements; and
• Supervising, guiding and mentoring junior staff within the Finance and Procurement Branch.

Employment is under the ASIO Act 1979. Conditions of service are similar to those applying in the Australian Public Service.
